As Program Manager for The Stock Market Game and Database Administrator at BestPrep, Tovin works to bring accessible, engaging financial education to students. His guiding belief is that positive change starts with education, especially when it begins early, through compassionate, personalized, and fact-based instruction that empowers young people to become thoughtful, informed stewards of their communities and world.

Born and raised in Frazee, Minnesota, Tovin brings a background in environmental education, having taught K-5th grade students at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. That experience showed him firsthand the impact of instilling stewardship in young learners, a lesson he carries into his work at BestPrep, where he joined the team in 2024 to continue supporting education that shapes lifelong values.

Outside of work, Tovin serves on the Board of Directors for Friends of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. An avid outdoorsman, he loves fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, and backpacking, along with cooking and reading. He shares his home with his partner Anna and their cats, Pippin and Pheobe.
