BestPrep is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that provides educational programs to students in grades 4-12. We are offering virtual programs, distance learning, and in-person opportunities. Since 1976, BestPrep has impacted more than 1.8 million youth across Minnesota and provided educators with resources to ensure that students are college-prepared, work-ready, and career-bound.

BestPrep offers six different programs that bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace skills. These programs are offered at low or no cost to students, teachers, and schools.

Whether you’re a student looking to build your skills, an individual looking to volunteer, a teacher looking for classroom resources, or a company looking to build a partnership, we invite you to learn more about what BestPrep has to offer.

Who We Serve

Enhance your curriculum with easy-to-use programs at no cost to you or your school.

BestPrep offers programs that can be seamlessly incorporated into your classroom. These programs help you meet curriculum requirements by offering students a variety of opportunities to build business, career, and financial literacy skills.

Through BestPrep, you can request a classroom speaker to discuss career or financial topics, provide mentorship to your students, sign up for a workplace tour, teach your students about the stock market, and more.

BestPrep provides Minnesota students with the resource and skills to get ready for higher education, the job market, and adult life. We partner with hundreds of schools in the Twin Cities and Minnesota to incorporate our programs into classrooms. High School students: BestPrep offers Minnesota Business Venture (MBV), a business and career development summer camp for Minnesota youth. MBV is an awesome opportunity to build your job skills, learn about different careers, and meet new people. Scholarships are available.

Every year, BestPrep mobilizes nearly 5,000 Minnesotans in high-impact, skills-based volunteer opportunities. We specialize in offering volunteer roles with a low-time commitment so that even the busiest professionals can make a meaningful difference in their community. BestPrep offers volunteer training and works with volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and areas of expertise.

Volunteer opportunities include classroom speakers on career or financial topics; mock interviewers; email mentor; business plan judges; financial planners; stock market investment advisers; and job shadow providers for educators. Contact BestPrep to learn more!
