The Educational Forum was on January 25, 2023 at the Minneapolis Convention Center!
We traveled to the edges of time and space with keynote speaker Brian Greene in a one-of-a-kind presentation that transformed the ballroom into outer space, utilizing visual imagery to bring science to life. Greene guided guests through a 30-minute odyssey from the Big Bang and far into the future about how humans have failed and triumphed in our quest for cosmic understanding. After the keynote, a panel of high school students joined Greene on stage for a discussion related to STEM. Guests left inspired and in wonder of the role that science plays in all aspects of our lives, including school and work.
Greene is a professor of Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University, best-selling author, and co-founder of The World Science Festival. His latest best-selling release, “Until the End of Time,” is a breathtaking exploration of the cosmos and our quest to understand it and was listed as one of the “100 Notable Books of 2020” by the New York Times. Greene is a frequent television guest, joining Stephen Colbert eight times and playing himself in an episode of “The Big Bang Theory.”
The event also featured emcee Vineeta Sawkar, musical guest David Smith, and the Student Spotlight competition.
In the past, the Educational Forum has been an biennial event. Starting 2022, it has been transitioned to an annual event.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event and made it a special evening!
