Analise’s New Experiences at Minnesota Business Venture

BestPrep’s Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) program is a week-long summer camp that helps high school students explore careers, build leadership skills, and gain real world business experience through hands-on learning.

Analise is a first-time camper at MBV who was recognized by her Resident Business Leader (RBL) for her dedication and focus. As an introverted high school student from Wisconsin, she felt nervous coming from out-of-state and knew she had to get out of her comfort zone. After a few days, she opened up and cherished the new friendships she had made.

Analise recalls Junk Night as one of her favorite memories, a team-building activity that encourages her company to work together to create an imaginary product from random items and then going on-stage to present their idea. This happened on the first night of camp! She said, “I think that’s a really big thing, especially since we were all new, still getting to know each other.” This activity set the foundation and tone for the rest of the week, preparing Analise and her company for their business presentation.

Analise also thoroughly enjoyed the breakout sessions. She notes the most valuable topic being Paying for College, stating, “You’ll have to step out into the real world and be more educated. That’s very important to me.”

By going outside her comfort zone, Analise not only gained valuable business skills and career insights but also formed meaningful connections that made her MBV experience truly unforgettable.
