For nearly a decade, UnitedHealth Group volunteers have been making a tremendous impact on BestPrep’s programs and their efforts have grown to reach thousands of students. UnitedHealth Group is currently our largest volunteer partner with more than 600 employees serving almost 10,000 volunteer hours annually.
BestPrep is seeking volunteers for a variety of opportunities at Minnesota Business Venture this July! There are many fun half-day volunteer opportunities available throughout both weeks of camp. Volunteers can participate as Mock Interviewers, Financial Planners, or Business Plan Judges
We are looking for volunteers in the business community willing to host a teacher for a half-day job shadow in early August. Volunteers will explain their typical tasks and projects, describe the skills they use in the workplace, and discuss the traits needed to be successful in the workforce. This is a great opportunity for teachers to learn firsthand the skills students need to develop in the classroom to be successful in their future careers.
On May 23, BestPrep will celebrate our incredible teachers, students, volunteers, and business partners for their commitment to our organization at the 2017 Annual Luncheon. The event features an awards ceremony and a keynote address from Ben Fowke, the CEO of Xcel Energy.
Motivational Speaker Donzell Dixson will kick-off the first week of Minnesota Business Venture at St. Cloud State University.
