Joe Keeley from College Nannies and Tutors spoke to MBV students about his success story starting from his college dorm. His engagement with the audience was felt by everyone.
Several speakers volunteered their time to talk to students about paying for their lifestyles while in college. This will sure be relevant to students lives in the near future.
Today was the day! Each company presented their product idea to a panel of judges (aka “bankers”) in hopes that they would accept their fictional loan proposal to fund the start of their business.
Jared Rendell, Partner for Digital Strategies for Vibrant Faith, provided an interesting perspective in his address to MBV students today.
“The place you belong is at the intersection of the world’s deep hunger and your deep passion.”
But most importantly, “you get to design your life.”
As a way to decompress from the Business Plan presentations, some students had the opportunity to participate in Minute to Win It. What a great way to finish out the last night at MBV St. John’s 2015.
It has been such a great week. The students learned many things that they will take home with them. Some may even want to return to MBV next year as Student Staff. Check back tomorrow for one last post for MBV 2015.
