Skills For The Future: Aarav’s Journey From Camper to CEO

BestPrep’s Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) program is a week-long summer camp that helps high school students explore careers, build leadership skills, and gain real world business experience through hands-on learning.

MBV has impacted many students across the 45 years it has been in session, including Aarav, a student from Eden Prairie High School. Just last year, Aarav arrived as a quiet camper and unsure of his future career plans. Now, he is a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a student leader who guides a group of campers throughout the week and helps them develop their own business plan.

When coming to camp for the first time last year, he didn’t know what to expect and kept to himself. By the end of the week, he found himself with many new friends and skills that he will use for a lifetime. Those skills include working in a team setting, financial literacy, and networking.

According to Aarav, “MBV has really helped me by giving me a community where I can learn a lot more about business and what I want to do in the future.” Thanks to MBV, Aarav has a solidified interest in business and wants to pursue a business career.
