The Stock Market Game Spring and Year Long Winners

Congratulations to the 2020 winning teams!

While we aren’t able to gather for our Awards Ceremony, our winning Stock Market Game students, teachers, and schools are still deserving of celebration!

The Stock Market Game is an online investing simulation for students in grades 4 – 12. Students works in teams to manage their $100,000 investment portfolio. Teams are ranked within their age division based on total portfolio value. Hundreds of teams participated in The Stock Market Game this year – to land a spot in the top five is quite the accomplishment!

When asked how they will apply what they learned, Edina Senior High School winning student said, “I learned more about the power of investing and how much it can increase someone’s overall net worth if they play it right. If this was money in the real world I would have made over 40k in this time period.”

Pine Island Middle School winning teacher, Wayne Dickie, shared, “My students learned valuable things about saving money for the long term. Developing teamwork, learning about private companies, compound interest, selecting their own companies, and that there are no guarantees. It is a great opportunity for students.”
