On Friday, January 22nd The Stock Market Game (SMG) celebrated the winners of the fall 2015 session. Wells Fargo Advisors, the lead sponsor for SMG, hosted BestPrep and the winning teams over lunch at The Wells Fargo Tower in downtown Minneapolis. Students came from all over the state to be recognized for their astute investing.
From September 14th to December 18th, more than 1,250 teams (3,500+ students!) from around the state invested $100,000 of virtual money in the stock market. The three teams with the highest valued portfolios in each division (high school, middle school, and elementary school) at the end of the trading period were invited to the celebration in Minneapolis.
This year’s fall winners hailed from across Minnesota, showing BestPrep’s ability to impact students throughout the state.
