The first week of Minnesota Business Venture 2025 is underway! We’re thrilled to host campers and staff at The University of St. Thomas for a week focused on business and essential life skills. The theme for Day 1, “Dare to Dream,” is brought to you by our sponsor at 3M. A huge thank you to all our sponsors for making this incredible camp experience a reality.
Students were filled with excitement as they arrived with their families and were greeted by our dedicated volunteers who helped them get settled in their dorms. Following this, we kicked off the first day with our opening session, featuring Pauleen Le!
Pauleen presented about her time at WCCO, how she set herself apart, the importance of being your authentic self, and emphasized that one should always ask questions. She shared a heartfelt story about her parents’ journey from Vietnam to the U.S. and how that set her up to dream big. Highlighting her own personal journey on becoming a first-generation achiever, she encouraged us to never stop dreaming and to pursue our goals with courage and passion.
After Pauleen’s inspiring keynote speech, campers broke out into their own companies and got to know each other while taking their first steps towards their business plan. After their first company meeting, they got dinner and engaged in a team-building activity known as “Junk Night”, where each company created an infomercial based on the random items they selected.
Campers are eager to see what day 2 has in store!
