For nearly 40 years, Securian Financial has been a committed and significant partner of BestPrep, supporting the organization through generous financial contributions, dedicated volunteerism, and board leadership. Their longstanding partnership has helped thousands of Minnesota students gain valuable skills in business, career readiness, and financial literacy.
Securian’s involvement spans decades and includes distinguished board service. George Fremder served as Board Chair from 1995 to 1997, laying the foundation for future collaboration. Adam Taylor, a board member from 2013 to 2020, continues to stay actively involved as a Cloud Coach mentor, Classroom Plus speaker, and volunteer at our Minnesota Business Venture summer camp, serving as a Business Plan Judge and Mock Interviewer.
Current board member Jeremy Gogos, Portfolio Manager, joined the board in 2020 and has contributed through committee leadership, including the Employee Engagement, Strategic Planning, and Organizational Effectiveness committees. He also mentors students at Washington Tech through Cloud Coach.

Securian hosts Cloud Summits at their corporate offices, giving students the unique opportunity to build professional connections in a real-world setting and gain confidence in their future. This hands-on engagement has deepened the company’s impact, connecting employees directly with students and furthering BestPrep’s mission.
Jeremy Gogos shares, “Securian has partnered with BestPrep for decades, and in my time on the BestPrep Board, hundreds of Securian associates have volunteered as mentors in the Cloud Coach program. The thoughtfully structured program, modest volunteer time requirement, and meaningful impact on the students who are starting to think about ‘what’s next’ after high school, have made for a rewarding volunteer experience many Securian associates repeat year after year.”
BestPrep is grateful for Securian’s unwavering support and its many employees who bring their time and talents to empower Minnesota’s next generation of leaders.
