Students’ knowledge of career opportunities continues to expand because of companies like SPS Commerce, this month’s Featured Partner.
As BestPrep continues to grow its reach with more schools, teachers and students participating, it is critical that the business community grows alongside us. Four years ago, SPS Commerce was introduced to BestPrep through the eMentors online mentoring program. With 25 SPS volunteers participating, the program became a natural fit. Today more than 125 employees have volunteered, supporting students at Dassel Cokato, Lakeville North, Ubah Academy, Burnsville, Becker, Woodbury, and Shakopee. SPS is not a business typically known by the students; the eMentors experience provides a new and excellent opportunity for students to learn about career opportunities within the business.
SPS has also provided leadership for BestPrep with Ben Bratland, Director of Channel Sales, serving on the BestPrep Board of Directors. According to Ben, “BestPrep programs provide an excellent opportunity for our employees to volunteer in a high-impact, low-time way. Most of our volunteers repeat every year because they love the experience. SPS is committed to helping the next generation be career ready and BestPrep paves the road.”
Hats off to SPS Commerce for being our featured partner for their commitment to Minnesota youth.
