AchieveMpls STEP-UP Summer Jobs Program
BestPrep recruits STEP-UP students to attend Minnesota Business Venture (MBV). The students gain additional skills at MBV that they take back to their summer job and school.

Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
Classroom Plus finds speakers for AVID classes. AVID also participates in BestPrep’s Career Days. Minnesota Business Venture targets AVID classes for student recruitment. eMentors works with several AVID classes, connecting them with business volunteers.

College Possible
BestPrep formed a partnership with College Possible in 2011-2012 to provide the Financial Matters presentations to all participating Twin Cities students, funded by a grant from the Foundation for Financial Planning. They also recruit many students to attend Minnesota Business Venture.

Cookie Cart
BestPrep recruits Cookie Cart employees to attend and gain skills at Minnesota Business Venture. This helps Cookie Cart with their mission of building better lives by providing lasting and meaningful work, life and leadership skills. They also coordinate speakers to give Financial Matters Presentations.

Corporate Volunteerism Council – Twin Cities (CVC-TC)
BestPrep is proud to be an associate member and one of the few nonprofit members of CVC-TC.

Financial Planning Association of Minnesota (FPA)
BestPrep coordinates volunteer recruitment efforts with their committee chairs for Classroom Plus, Financial Matters, eMentors and Minnesota Business Venture. BestPrep has received grants from the Foundation for Financial Planning which were used to develop the Financial Matters and Classroom Plus materials.

Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy
Jump$tart is a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. A BestPrep staff member sits on the local Jump$tart Board of Directors.

MENTOR Minnesota
eMentors is an affiliate of MENTOR Minnesota (formerly known as the Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota). MENTOR Minnesota has recommended eMentors to companies and schools wanting to start an email mentoring program. They have also provided us professional assistance in developing and expanding our program.

Minnesota Bankers Association (MBA)
The Minnesota Bankers Association has financially sponsored local students from their community to attend Minnesota Business Venture. It supports BestPrep through newsletter articles, program promotion and encouragement of member volunteerism.

Marketing Business Information Technology Educators (MBITE)
Bimonthly, BestPrep promotes its programs and stories in the educator newsletter. BestPrep staff attend and present at the Minnesota Business Educators Inc. teacher conferences.

Minnesota Computers for Schools (MCFS)
BestPrep rents laptops to increase the technology offerings at its summer programs Minnesota Business Venture and the Technology Integration Workshop. BestPrep also recycles PCs and hardware with Minnesota Computers for Schools.

St. Cloud State University and the Herberger Business School
The G.R. Herberger College of Business co-hosts Minnesota Business Venture at SCSU and financially supports brochure printing, MBV T-shirts, a college scholarship for an MBV student(s), and a welcome dinner for the week-long volunteers.

St. John’s University and the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship
The Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship co-hosts Minnesota Business Venture on the SJU campus, while financially supporting brochure printing, MBV T-shirts and a welcome dinner for the week-long volunteers.

Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA)
Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association is the national governing body of The Stock Market Game.

Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF)
Minnesota Business Venture frequently invites the Students Today Leaders Forever founders to speak at MBV. STLF founders are periodic social entrepreneur speakers in Classroom Plus.

TORCH students attend Minnesota Business Venture which introduces them to post-secondary
options and preparation for the workforce.

University of St. Thomas and the OPUS College of Business (UST & OPUS)
University of St. Thomas and the OPUS College of Business serve as host to the Technology Integration Workshop providing complimentary rooms, technology support and graduate level credit for educators.

TRiO and BestPrep have had a growing relationship over the past couple of years. TRiO has recruited students for Minnesota Business Venture to prepare them for life after high school as part of their Upward Bound program.
