Born and raised in small town Frazee Minnesota, Tovin joined the BestPrep team in 2024, bringing a deep passion for environmental issues and education. With a background in teaching environmental education to K-5th students at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, he has seen firsthand the importance of instilling a sense of stewardship in young people. His work emphasizes the belief that positive change must begin with education, starting at a young age, through compassionate, personalized, and fact-based instruction.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Tovin serves on the Board of Directors for Friends of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, working to inspire future generations of environmental advocates. Outside of work, he is an avid outdoors enthusiast, enjoying fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, and backpacking. Tovin also enjoys cooking, reading, and shares his home with his partner Anna, and their cats, Pippin and Pheobe.
