Educators: Incorporate free interactive opportunities into your classroom

Classroom Plus

“Having an understanding of the ‘real world’ is invaluable for students. The insights and experiences they gain from interacting with professionals can’t be replicated in textbooks.” – Classroom Plus Teacher

As students start applying for their first job, deciding their future career path after they graduate, and trying to choose the best field of study based on the company or career, teachers are often looking for ways to help them make the big decisions. Classroom Plus is a FREE service for teachers to request a business volunteer to cover career-related topics in the classroom. To request a speaker, simply fill out the request form and a BestPrep staff member will contact you.

Financial Matters

BestPrep works with business professionals in the financial industry to provide financial literacy information to high school students in all areas of study. After a volunteer goes into the classroom to deliver a presentation to students, we often hear a similar comment: “I wish they had this program when I was in high school!”

Financial Matters offers a unique, FREE opportunity for teachers to educate their students on topics that might not typically be covered in the classroom. From budgeting to taxes, credit to insurance, business professionals aim to provide students with real-life examples and information to help them become successful, financially independent adults. To request a speaker, fill out the request form and a BestPrep staff member will contact you.

BestPrep is looking for volunteers who are willing to speak with students about their career, serve as a mock interviewer, or present a financial topic in the classroom this year! To sign up, visit our website and check out more information on Classroom Plus and Financial Matters.

The Stock Market Game

The Stock Market Game (SMG) is an engaging online investing simulation where students work in teams and receive a virtual $100,000 to invest in stocks and mutual funds. Participating educators are provided with curriculum resources, webinar training that goes over the website and how The SMG works, and an ongoing support system. Educators can also try The SMG in a three-week trial session to gain hands-on experience with the program.

Thanks to generous support from our sponsors, The SMG is currently FREE for Minnesota students. Register today to secure your free teams! Current sessions are Fall (9/8-12/12) and Yearlong (9/8-4/17). Register online and contact Ann Benson with any questions. The training webinar schedule is available on our website.
