Minnesota Business Venture is seeking volunteers for the 2026 season. Both sessions of camp are in-person at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. Volunteers will be given a brief orientation, written training materials, and will be offered lunch or dinner on the day of their visit.

Mock Interviewer: As a Mock Interviewer, you will sit down with a high school student and conduct a brief interview, then directly deliver feedback to help them improve. Numerous interviews will be held over a two hour period. Volunteers are briefed and provided with sample questions.

Financial Planner: We are seeking professional financial planners and/or advisors to present on budgeting and investing, using a pre-created PowerPoint. This presentation will lead to questions from and facilitated discussions with high school students. PowerPoints will be able to be sent in advance.

Wednesday, July 27, 2:30-5:00pm at St. John's University

Business Plan Judge: Listen to students’ business plan pitches and provide feedback on verbal and non-verbal skills. You will be a judge with 3-4 other individuals, and will be viewing 3-4 presentations over the course of the afternoon. Training will be provided.

*NEW* MBV Registration Volunteer: Assist students and parents as they arrive on campus and get checked into camp, provide directional assistance around campus, answer questions, provide support as needed. MBV experience is helpful but not required.

*NEW* MBV Office Volunteer: Keep the MBV Office staffed at Anderson Student Center, greet students, volunteers, etc., perform other supporting roles as needed. Some experience with MBV is helpful, but not necessary. Daily shifts needed: 8am-12:30pm and 12:30-5pm. Select the shift and session you are interested in volunteering for (you do not need to be available every day of the session), and our coordinator will contact you to confirm scheduling.

*NEW* Evening Student Safety Volunteer: Walk around campus during student recreation time, ensuring students are being safe, following camp policies, and in the appropriate buildings and campus spaces. Make sure all students get into the dorm building by curfew. Volunteers will walk with at least one other volunteer or staff person. Hours are 8:30-11pm each night of camp (curfew is midnight for the last night of camp!). Please select the session you are interested in volunteering for and our coordinator will contact you to confirm scheduling. Availability is not required for each day of the session. MBV experience is helpful but not required.
