Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) is the perfect opportunity for students seeking career direction, planning to start a business, interested in learning new skills, and looking to meet new people!
“I had a wonderful experience at MBV. New challenges, great food, new friends, leadership skills, expressing who you are, mock interviews, meaningful lectures, teambuilding, roommate experience and a GREAT week at camp!” – Student from Brooklyn Center High School
MBV is more than just business plans and skills, many concepts and topics are incorporated into the week.
“I had the opportunity to make valuable connections, network, experience making a business plan and exercise my skills in teamwork, leadership, communication and business.” – Student from Lakeville North High School
“Even though I was only at MBV for a week, I learned so much about the business world and myself. I became a leader who has the power to do great things to better the world for future generations”. – Student from Mounds View High School
MBV is offered twice this summer:
- July 13-18, 2014 at St. Cloud State University
- July 27-August 1, 2014 at St. John’s University
Cost to attend is kept low thanks to generous sponsors. Students pay $150 prior to April 18, 2014 or $200 after that date, which covers room, board and programming for the week. The Minnesota Office of Higher Education will cover the cost of a student to attend if they qualify for free/reduced lunch, are in grades 9-11, live in Minnesota and have a “C” average or “C” in Social Studies.
