Connect students to the global economy with virtual investing and real-world learning!
In partnership with the SIFMA Foundation, BestPrep offers The Stock Market Game™ (SMG) in Minnesota. SMG is an engaging, fun and easy-to-learn online investing simulation for students in grades 4-12. SMG can be used during or after school, once a week or every day. Keep the classroom fresh and your students engaged with this innovative approach to learning!
SMG builds students’ fundamental skills in saving and investing money, financial literacy, and teamwork with lessons and activities grounded in core courses. SMG activities provide real world practice in subjects like math, English, social studies, and economics.
We are excited to announce some new features to SMG this year:
- An updated Teacher Support Center, with over 400 lesson plans, activities, projects and assessments, all designed to push students’ critical thinking and available for educators to use in the classroom.
- The new search bar separates lessons and materials by grade, unit, subject, or mastery. Spend less time searching and more time preparing your students for success! Finding the exact materials you need has never been easier.
- Improved student portfolio pages make for more relevant learning. Highly detailed graphs are available for researching stocks – a great platform for students to learn and analyze data. Easy-to-read transaction notes now record the date, time and price a trade was made at.
- Launching the weekend of August 23rd, the teacher registration portfolio will be streamlined and easier to use.
Registration is now open and available for Fall and Yearlong teams.
