Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) is a summer residential opportunity for high school students. This summer marks the 37th summer for the program. 324 students from all over Minnesota took a week out of their summer to learn about career readiness, financial literacy, and business, while forming new friendships.
Students were divided into teams to work through creating a fictitious company and developing a sales pitch for a new product. The finale of camp occurred when students present their product in “Shark Tank” fashion to a panel of volunteers acting as venture capitalists. A few product ideas from this year included contact lenses for individuals who are color blind, a gifting app for your mobile device, a GPS sticker to track lost objects, a water purifying sponge, and Virtual Reality for kids in the hospital. See and learn more about students’ experience by checking out photos and watching the recap videos. BestPrep would like to thank the hundreds of sponsors and volunteers who made MBV possible. We’re grateful for your support!
