Calling all educators! BestPrep is once again offering an essay competition for students grades 9-11 in conjunction with our biennial Educational Forum, taking place on October 7th, 2019. The deadline to submit essays is April 15, 2019. Students can register online today.
This year, the student essay competition focuses on a prompt created from the book Thank You for Being Late, written by Thomas Friedman, author and keynote speaker at this year’s Educational Forum event. The prompt encourages students to answer the questions, “To you, what does it mean to be a thoughtful community member? And, what can you and/or others do now to make a meaningful impact?” These essays can also be used on the students’ college applications, resumes, and more.
The top 20 students and their teachers will be awarded prizes and will be invited to attend a private reception at the Educational Forum with Friedman.
The deadline to submit essays is April 15th, 2019. Please reach out to jgale@bestprep.org for more information, read more in the essay packet, and register online.
