Thanks to a grant from Blaze Credit Union, BestPrep will release a new Financial Matters classroom presentation this fall.

The presentation, Your Money Personality Matters, will help students understand how they think about money and identify their spending habits. From January-June 2024, a committee of financial industry experts and teachers developed the content, piloted the presentation, and revised it based on teachers’ and students’ comments.

The presentation provides real-life scenarios and encourages small group conversation focused on our personalities and the money related decisions we make. It offers young people a way to recognize their habits and how they help or delay reaching financial goals.

The presentation package, like BestPrep’s other presentations, provides volunteers with a PowerPoint slide deck, speaker notes, and a student handout. Presenters are encouraged to infuse the presentation with their own personal examples and stories.

Volunteers interested in presenting this or other classroom presentations can reach out to Claire Gustafson to indicate their interest.
