Weaver Lake Elementary students use The Stock Market Game.In partnership with the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation, BestPrep offers The Stock Market Game™ (SMG) free of charge to Minnesota educators. SMG is an engaging, fun and easy-to-learn online investing simulation for students in grades 4-12. It can be used during or after school, once a week or everyday. Keep your students engaged with this innovative approach to learning!
The Stock Market Game builds students’ fundamental skills in saving and investing money, financial literacy, and teamwork with lessons and activities grounded in Common Core Standards. These activities provide real world experiences in subjects like math, English, social studies, and economics.
Dates for the 2016-17 school year are now available:
- Year-long: September 12 – April 21
- Fall: September 12 – December 16
- Spring: January 17 – April 21
- Late Spring: March 20 – May 26
