Students were welcomed to BestPrep’s Minnesota Business Venture Week 1 2024! We are incredibly excited for a full week of fun, focus, entertainment, and presentations at the University of St. Thomas! Today’s theme is “Dare to Dream.” We are grateful for 3M for being one of our longtime partners and for being the sponsor of the day! Each day at MBV has a different theme and is sponsored by a different company.
This week, we kicked off camp by welcoming Oie Dobier, Owner of Bloomdocking, a business coaching company specializing in helping entrepreneurs work “on” their business vs. always “in” their business. She spoke about the three important steps towards achieving your goals. Decide. Commit. Succeed.
After our keynote, the students got assigned to their companies where they did some ice breakers and got to know each other. Campers will be spending the week working with their companies to create a business plan, which they will present to a panel of judges at the end of the week.
Campers participated in many fun games like our Scavenger Hunt where they went all around St. Thomas finding clues, and our Junk Night where companies create infomercials with the “junk” they have been given! We can’t wait for the coming days of MBV, and are thankful for this opportunity to continue hosting this camp every year!
