Today is day 5 into Minnesota Business Venture Week 2 2024. Our amazing sponsor today is The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, thank you so much for your support in helping MBV happen! Our theme today is Empowerment Day and, rightfully so because, today is the day each company presents their business plans that they have been working on since the first day at MBV! They will present their business plans to a real-life panel of CEO’s!
But first, after breakfast we had our 5th keynote speaker of the week! Kelly McClellan, who gave campers encouraging word and presentation tips to nail their presentation today! Various tips such as be confident, focus on the message, and make sure that you and your listener have built a connection throughout your presentation!
After the amazing keynote, campers went back to their company for a final meeting and lunch before they present. And then finally… IT WAS TIME!!!!
Campers did amazing as they presented their business plans in 15 minutes! Then the judges had 5 minutes to talk amongst themselves on what loan to give the company. Every company got at least some or even more of what they asked for, so congratulations to every single company for doing such an incredible job! Students have put so much hard work into these presentations, so when the hard work finally pays off, it is so rewarding! We are so proud of our students!
After the business presentations, we had our second to last keynote of camp. Bella Lam’s “Dream to Action” encouraged students to not stop at MBV. Get through the trials and tribulations you will surely come across, and that mistakes are the only way you’ll learn!
Then, campers went to dinner and another company meeting reflecting and celebrating their hard-earned success! Following that all the companies participated in multiple Minute To Win It games! So much fun! Finally, we ended the day off with a dance! What a great way to end the amazing, busy, and successful day!
