The Minnesota Association for Career and Technical Education (MnACTE) announced BestPrep as the 2020 Business-Education Partnership Award Winner. This award celebrates the contributions of schools, nonprofits, and businesses that aid in the development and maintenance of partnerships supporting high-quality career and technical education.

BestPrep’s work, in conjunction with companies and employers across Minnesota, was a driving factor in the award nomination. BestPrep has a 44-year history of bridging the gap between education and the business community – and this award recognizes that. Our work with educators creates career pathways to high wage, high demand positions and provides opportunities for students to interact with professionals in those fields.

“The partnerships BestPrep creates with schools and companies creates meaningful experiences for students. The information shared about each career helps students make informed decisions about the positions that are of most interest to them and what they’ll pursue in post-secondary education,” said Bonnie Vagasky, BestPrep’s Vice President, Educational Programs. “We are honored to be part of MnACTE and to provide these experiences to Minnesota students!”

The award was presented by Jessica Daberkow, MnACTE President and Agriculture Instructor/FFA Advisor at Heron Lake Okabena High School teacher on November 2nd in a virtual ceremony.
