The BestPrep staff and our Technology Integration Specialists have created a full line-up of four fun-filled days of activities for the 2016 Technology Integration Workshop (TIW). 80 teachers will join us for what promises to be a great professional development opportunity.
Breakout and Keynote Sessions:
A new Keynote Address from Cuningham Group, the architectural firm that designed the highly acclaimed Alexandria High School will be featured. Other breakout sessions include Google Classroom, Google Extensions and Add-ons, Coding, Maker Spaces, Video Creation & Editing, and the list goes on! More than 30 topics will be covered.
Job Shadow at a Local Business:
Each educator will be paired with a volunteer from business whom they’ll job shadow one afternoon. These job shadow hosts will highlight their company, the skills new employees need when joining the job market and more. Teachers will draw parallels from their curriculum to the real-world through this experience.
Unit Plan Creation:
BestPrep provides educators with time to modify their curriculum so the new information learned in the keynote and breakout sessions can be applied. Attendees pre-select their unit plan and make enhancements to it over the four-day workshop.
